Leslie Vlcek is a national certified and state licensed Speech Language Pathologist.  She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders, and Edinboro University with a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. During her professional career, Leslie has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including daycares, schools, clients’ homes, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation centers, and remote settings. Leslie has enjoyed working with children and adults with unique needs and disorders, including autism, Aspergers, developmental delays, ADHD,  apraxia, craniofacial disorders, genetic disorders, dementia, stroke, brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer's disease, and dysphagia. She is especially interested in the gut-brain connection and using an abilities and strength-based approach to intervention. Leslie has received the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Award for Continuing Education. She is a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS) and is certified in Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES). She  lives in Gibsonia with her husband, 4 daughters, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. Leslie loves reading, hiking, yoga, the outdoors, and hanging out with her family and friends.
